(1)    Members belonging to Universities, public organizations or non-profit foundations are considered institutional users.
(2)   In reproduction requests for commercial purposes, price will increase 30 € per documental unit for private firms, and 15 € for public institutions. A request form should be filled in.

The students who are making a work of research (doctoral thesis) and who can prove it come off exempt from paying the price fixed for digital files in self-service.

(3)    Some distributors charge special academic fee with a discount for UB teachers.
(4)    Sending articles by fax has a supplementary cost of 1,00 € per page.
IMPORTANT: Fees corresponding to collection reproductions cover the direct and the indirect costs of the service. In no case do they cover copyright © issues, which are the responsibility of the end user, in accordance with current legislation.

Reproduction requests for badly preserved documents may be denied, restricted, or carried out using safer systems.

Cases in which a reproduction may be refused:

1. Fragile and brittle documents usually due to acidity in paper composition.
2. Documents with evident physical damages like creases, tears, folds and insect holes.
3. Paper documents of difficult handling due to ink corrosion.
4. Documents whose poor binding conditions jeopardize their integrity.
5. Documents larger than A3.
6. Original documents on paper but with paintings or writings in pencil, ink or with other original artistic materials.
7. Materials with hard or strong binding which requires forcing the document or which makes good reproduction difficult.
8. Items which have been repaired and are therefore difficult to reproduce.
9. Unique, rare o valuable bindings.
10. Contravention of Archives and Documents Law 10/2001 (13 July).
11. If clauses established in donation and deposit agreements are broken.
12. Reserved collections which come from legal deposit or an agreement.
13. It is not permitted to reproduce complete series or 20% of a collection (measured in linear meters).
14. Unpublished research and items without the express authorization of the authors.

• In cash, on collecting the document.
• By credit card, only at the Interlibrary Loan Service central office if the documents are collected in person.
• By check to the University of Barcelona. Library xxx, bank transfer or postal order.
  
  In all three cases payment to be made on receipt of bill.
  
  Bill includes following information:
  • The account number for deposits in the case of transfers.
  • The address where the check or postal order must be sent.
  • The bill number which must be stated in all cases.

• Charges to the budget of the corresponding UB department.
  
  
  When ordering it is necessary to state that the payment is charged to the department and a form stamped and signed by the head of the department must be delivered to the service (forms are available at departments and libraries).
  

  In the case of a consultancy, indicate the control number.
  For the Fundació Bosch i Gimpera, indicate the project number.
