1. The following web browsers are compatible:

2. Configure your browser to use the proxy server:
• Netscape 7.1 or Mozilla
• Netscape 7.1 or superior: MAC settings
• Mozilla Firefox 1.0
• Mozilla Firefox 2.0
• Internet Explorer 6.x or upper
  • Modem connection
  • Local network connestion (ADSL or wire)
3. Once the connection settings are properly adjusted, you will be prompted to enter your UB code and password every time you start your browser. Thus, you will be identified as a member of the UB.

• Click on Edit
• Select Preferences
• Click on the arrow next to Advanced
• Click on Proxies
• Select the Automatic proxy configuration URL option
• Enter the URL: http://www.bib.ub.edu/pac/proxy.pac (low case and no gaps) HINT: Copy the above address and paste it into the box to avoid typing errors
• Press OK

Netscape 7.1 or upper: MAC Settings

• Click on Netscape
