Following the initiative of the Open Access Day in 2008, this year we celebrate the Open Access Week during the 19th and 23rd of October and once again, the Office for Knowledge Dissemination participates to this international event adopting the motto “Open your knowledge and share it” to bring out what is open access.
Last Year the Office for Knowledge Dissemination published a guide about open access and now, this year we have edited a book mark. And organising conferences with the collaboration of the CRAI Libraries about the tools like repositories or open access journals, which are accessible to researchers to open and share their scientific knowledge.
The Library of Economics has prepared a poster to disseminate the idea of Open Access among faculty and students.
The main event of the week is going to be on the 21st of October, at 12 pm at the Historical Building of the University of Barcelona with the title “The dissemination of the research in open access”. The act will be presented by the vice rector for Scientific Policy, Dr. Teresa Anguera and by the delegate of the rector, the coordinator of the Information and Documentation Systems, Dr. Carina Rey.

In between, the technical director of CBUC Mrs. Lluís Anglada and Mr. Miquel Huguet representing CESCA, are going to deliver the certificates of the 6000th and 7000th thesis and the certificates of the most consulted three theses at the TDX repository
