Preserving or collecting historical elements does not have too much sense if it is done merely to boast about 1.000, 10.000 or 100.000 of them guarded in files or cupboards.

The Museum of Catalan Pharmacy and the private foundation Pharmaceutical Concordia use constantly their funds to accomplish two of their main purposes: safeguard and introduce the pharmaceutical patrimony of Catalonia.

It is in this line that a new showcase has been fit out in the hall of the Faculty, where the Museum exhibits, every month, a medicine or an object of pharmaceutical use, accompanied by the suitable documentation, so that teachers as well as stundents can know those products, specialties or devices that, having been in the past frequently used or known, today can only be find in the corners more covered with dust of some museums or in the loft of some antique farmhouses.

The Museum of Catalan Pharmacy organizes a series of temporary exhibitions, in the hall of the Pharmacy Faculty main building, under the name of Month's Drug.
