The library of Medecine combines research and specialized collections of the subject taught at the Faculty. Moreover, it has an historic collection (from 1821 to 1945) of books, pamphlets and journals, which are very interesting in the field of history of medecine. The library was created in 1906 and reformed in 1989 to occuppy 3,0002 divided in 3 floors. Since 1993 it assists the Hospital Clínic and IDIBAPS.
