The Library of Biology was created in the year 1982 with the stock of the former Seminar of Biology. At present the library combines the research and the specialized collections of the subjects taught at the Faculty: Biology, Environmental Sciences and Biochemistry.
The library accommodates the archive of Ramon Margalef López, first professor of ecology in the country, which includes his scientific work and personal documents. A particularly useful resource for teachers is a herbarium along with a collection of animal and plant histologic preparations.
